Pat Nixon, first lady of the United States made a short visit to Idaho Falls September 21, 1972, September 21, 1972 Traveling with Mrs Nixon was Senator Orval Hansen and his wife, plus other dignitaries. She as greeted by 500 well-wishers at the Idaho Falls Airport. She was cheered at Ravsten Stadium by 10,000 supporters. Mrs Richard Nixon visited the Repubican Campaign Headquarters at 415 Shoup, where a reception was held with local Republican leaders. He was a business leader in Idaho Falls, Idaho, serving as mayor, postmaster and in other capacities. He arrived at Idaho Falls in 1891 In front of the drug store next to Brandl's Meat Market at 354 Broadway.This is probably in the late 1930's or early 1940s This may have been a Christmas gathering of a Faternal Organization.James C. Bennett, is 7th from the right in the lighter colored coat and hat. The mansitting between 2 others is , Joe Flora Sr. Marshall Scott is the short one the second from the left. It looks like this is taken at Christmas time. It seems there was some sort of a gathering maybe with an exchange of gifts and drinks. D F Richards is on the front row. In 1941 the Drug Store they are standing in front of is Chas L Joy and Company They are in the same building with Brandi's Meats 354 Broadway. Unknown Group of People, the three men on the bottom are the same as the three men in back on the upper picture.
